Karla Hanna

Commercial Procurement Director

Role Description:

Commercial Procurement Director

Time you have been at Asendia & wnDirect:

Since the beginning! I joined La Poste UK in 2003.

Previous experience:

I’ve been working in the International mail and parcel industry for over 20 years starting at Hays DX International in 1999. I relocated the fulfilment activites of Hays to La Poste in 2003 and was one of the first employees of the new La Poste UK company helping set up and establish the LPUK ETOE mail operations. I continued to help develop the business in various management roles including Customer Service, IT and Projects Management and I was the UK Integration Project Coordinator for the Asendia Joint Venture in 2012. Since then I have worked in Commercial and was very pleased to join the board as Commercial Director in 2015. I’m looking forward to this new phase of the Asendia story with the purchase of wnDirect and believe together we can achieve great things.

What is the best thing about working with wnDirect?

I think it’s been having opportunity to make a difference and develop skills in a global company, but mainly the great people I work with…I better say meeting my husband or he’ll sulk.

Why do you think companies should use wnDirect?

We have a wealth experience within the Asendia group and a global reach. We want to form partnerships and help companies grow and achieve their potential. Sustainability is a key objective for us and our values include trust and friendliness as we believe integrity in business is key to building lasting relationships.

What is your favourite place to visit?

Cyprus and Belfast.

And why?

We had a family home in Agios Neophytos near Paphos and I have many happy memories of holidays spent there including my honeymoon. But Belfast is my 2nd home and Iove going home to see the family.

Where would you most like to visit?

Oooh… there’s so many places it’s hard to choose! Cuba is one I’d love to visit and any carribean island.

If you knew you were going to be stranded on a desert island what three things would you take with you?

A portable solar generator, my ipad (so I can play tunes, games, films and read books!) and a water purifier…although I would probably prefer wine!
