In a world faced with inflation and economic diversity, many retailers would instantaneously state cost as the answer to this question. However, when their consumers are faced with different standards of delivery and long transit times with no tracking, priorities begin to shift.
Now, the perfect service would be one that is a cheap, quick, tracked and flexible, all completed by the consumers favourite local courier or post worker. Unfortunately, for many retailers, this is not realistic, as faster and more comprehensive delivery services come at a higher cost. As an online retailer, you need to make some difficult choices, and sacrifices in some cases. You need to do what is best for your bottom line, whilst maintaining your customer’s loyalty.
